Vegetated Concrete Block Erosion Control Mat

Vegetated Concrete Block Mats are designed to prevent soil erosion and promote vegetation establishment in a wide variety of applications. VCBMs are designed with three-dimensional blocks embedded on a geogrid so that the blocks can articulate and conform to the subgrade, ensuring good soil contact to promote vegetation. With a more uniform aesthetic than riprap, and designed to be mountable for mowing equipment, vegetated concrete block mats are often a more desirable choice in maintained landscapes. VCBMs come in a variety of sizes from 4’ x 8’ to 16’ x 50’ with several backing options to fit each unique application and allow for a quicker and easier installation depending on site conditions. Cherokee VCBMs have undergone rigorous lab testing and have been designed to withstand shear stresses up to 18 lbs / square foot and channel flows as high as 30 ft/second.
